In an era when cars are everywhere, it’s hard to be completely sure if a given car is local or imported.
But in the UK, it can be easier to be on the lookout for the new Audi RS3.
If you’re not too familiar with the car, or you’re on the fence about buying one, here are some things to look out for.
Is the car’s body paint a clear colour?
Yes, but Audi says the car comes in a range of bright and clear colour schemes, and they are available in white, grey, red, black and white.
Is the car available in a standard kit?
The Audi RS5 is fitted with an RS3 kit.
Audi says that you’ll need to buy the kit yourself.
Are the brakes good?
Audi’s R8 RS3 has an impressive 13.2 seconds at the line-up, with a top speed of 155mph (230km/h).
Is there a manual transmission?
Audi says it has one, but that it will be available as a standard option on the RS3 with a four-speed manual transmission.
What about all-wheel drive?
There’s not a lot to talk about here.
The RS3 can take the full weight of an RS5, but it won’t have a V6 or a V8.
It can be powered by a V10, V8, V6 and V6 Plus petrol engine, and is said to be capable of reaching 60mph (97km/hr).
What’s in the RS5 kit?
All-wheel-drive is a standard feature on the base RS5 model, and can be switched on on the Audi RS4.
Which versions of the RS4 are available?
The Audi S5 and RS5 RS4 both come with a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing around 330kW (276hp) and 573Nm (1,040lb ft) of torque.
The petrol-powered RS5 comes with a 7.0 litre turbocharged V6, producing a further 434kW and 579Nm of torque, and a 6-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The diesel RS5 gets the same powertrain as the petrol RS5.
The manual RS4 comes with an electric motor that powers a dual-clutch transmission and has a range from 200km/hour (125mph) to 210km/year (160mph).
The RS5 S5 comes in all colours, but the RS6 RS4 RS4S and RS6S RS5S are the only RS models available with petrol or diesel engines.
Are there any extras?
There are a host of extras for the RS range, from a 20in touchscreen infotainment system, to a rear view camera, heated seats and heated front seats, a sunroof, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated pedals, power folding mirrors and an audio system.
What are the specs of the Audi A8 RS?
The Audi A5 RS, RS6, RS7, RS8, RS9 and RS3 all come with the same standard A6 RS engine, but there are a few extra bits to add to make the RS8 RS4, RS5 and S6 RS6A more desirable.
The A8 will offer a revised engine, with new twin-scroll turbocharged petrol engines and a turbocharged diesel version.
It will also have a rear-wheel independent suspension, and it will get a five-speed gearbox.
Where can I buy an RS4?
The RS4 is available from Audi’s online car showrooms in the US and Australia.
It’s available from a range in the European Union, and you can buy the car from a number of dealerships across the country.
The A6, A6 S, RS4 and S5 RS models will be on sale from October.
The first-gen RS5 will also be available from January.
The new Audi A4 RS, S5, RS3 and RS4 will be coming out on February 9.
